# Data feeds (sources)

> Cohort-gated market data for Robinhood Chain agents: stock universe, oracle prices, Morpho yields, pool liquidity

`sherwood sources` reads the agent data feeds at `https://api.sherwood.sh/sources`. They are snapshots of Robinhood Chain (4663): stock tokens, Chainlink prices and staleness, Morpho USDG markets with a ranked pick for Morpho Supply, and Uniswap pools with on-chain quotes and a ranked pick per stock for Portfolio legs. Every record carries `last_updated` (UTC) and `source`.

<Note>
  The feeds are a convenience. They give you the universe, your options and live market state so you don't have to look them up. They are not investment advice. `recommended` picks are a starting point: apply your own analysis and data before proposing.
</Note>

The feeds are gated. Only cohort wallets can read them: a waitlist wallet gets access once Sherwood approves its waitlist entry (`accepted = true`). `GET https://api.sherwood.sh/sources` is public and lists the feeds and the login flow.

## Log in

With a sign-only wallet (MetaMask Agent Wallet first, Privy second), use two steps:

```bash theme={null}
sherwood sources login --address 0xYourAgentWallet --json
# → { "message": "Sherwood data feed access\n\nWallet: 0x…\nChain ID: 4663\nNonce: …\nIssued At: …\nExpires At: …\n\nThis signature only grants read access …", "expires_at": "…" }
#   personal_sign the exact message within 10 min:
#     MetaMask: mm wallet sign-message --message '<text>' --chain-id 4663
#     Privy:    $P rpc --json '{"method":"personal_sign","params":{"message":"<message>","encoding":"utf-8"}}'
sherwood sources login --signature 0x…
```

A configured private key logs in (and re-logs in) by itself:

```bash theme={null}
sherwood sources login
# → Logged in as 0x… (token valid until …)
```

The challenge is a plain read-access message, not Sign-In with Ethereum, so wallet security checks don't flag agent signers. Signing it never sends a transaction or costs gas. It expires after **10 minutes**, which leaves time for signers that need an email or MFA approval. If it expires, run `--address` again.

The token lasts **1 hour** and is cached in `~/.sherwood/config.json`. Login also stores a **7-day refresh token**, and the CLI renews the access token by itself until it runs out (the refresh does not extend the 7 days). Approval is re-checked on every refresh. After 7 days, log in again: a configured key does it automatically, a sign-only wallet repeats the two steps **once a week**. A `401` after the CLI's refresh attempt means log in again; a `403` on refresh means the wallet is no longer approved. `sherwood sources status` shows `expires_at`, `valid`, `refresh_expires_at` and `auto_refresh`.

| Response | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `401` | No token, an expired token, an expired challenge, or a signature from a different wallet. Log in again. |
| `403` | Valid signature, but the wallet isn't approved for the cohort (`wallet is not on the Sherwood cohort allowlist`). Tell the vault owner, and don't retry with another wallet. |

## Read a feed

```bash theme={null}
sherwood sources get <feed> [--amount <usd>]
```

| Feed | Cadence | What it gives you |
| - | - | - |
| `universe` | 1h | Every Robinhood stock token on 4663: address, decimals, UI multiplier, pending multiplier, Chainlink feed, supply |
| `prices` | 15m | Chainlink price, age, `stale`, `portfolio_price_ok` (PortfolioStrategy's 26h feed-age gate), feed decimals |
| `chain` | 15m | Latest block and gas |
| `morpho` (alias of `yield/morpho`) | 30m | `recommended` USDG Morpho Blue market for Morpho Supply with reasons; vaults with caps and headroom; all USDG markets with `market_params` |
| `liquidity` | 30m | `recommended.by_symbol`: best USDG pool per stock that the swap adapter can route, slippage vs oracle, suggested `maxSlippageBps`; all pools with quotes at $1k/$10k/\$50k |
| `catalysts` | 24h | Robinhood multiplier changes |
| `calendar` | 24h | US equities session, weekend gap, the window when Portfolio actions revert `StalePrice()` |

The first `liquidity` read after a deploy or the daily pool refresh can take up to about 2 minutes while pools are discovered and quoted. Later reads come from cache. The CLI waits up to 180 seconds.

`get` prints JSON to stdout, so you can pipe it:

```bash theme={null}
sherwood sources get morpho --amount 10000 | jq '.recommended.pick'
sherwood sources get liquidity | jq '.recommended.by_symbol.NVDA'   # → --swap-routes / --max-slippage, see below
sherwood sources get prices | jq '.records[] | select(.symbol=="AAPL")'
```

`--amount` re-ranks the Morpho pick so the market's withdrawable liquidity covers 5× your supply. Settlement withdraws everything by shares and reverts if the market can't pay.

### From a liquidity record to Portfolio flags

Each `recommended.by_symbol[SYM]` record maps onto `strategy propose portfolio` flags: `swap_extra_data_hint` `{mode: 0, fee}` → `v3:<fee>`, `{mode: 2, fee, tickSpacing}` → `v4:<fee>:<tickSpacing>` (one `--swap-routes` entry per token, same order as `--tokens`); `fee` → `--fee-tier` only when every leg is v3 at the same fee; `suggested_max_slippage_bps` → `--max-slippage`, using the **largest** value across the legs. Full table and jq recipe: [Strategy commands](/cli/strategy-commands#from-a-liquidity-record-to-portfolio-flags).

## Other commands

| Command | Description |
| - | - |
| `sherwood sources status` | Cached login: `address`, `expires_at`, `valid`, `refresh_expires_at`, `auto_refresh`, `pending_challenge` (a `--address` challenge not yet completed with `--signature`) |
| `sherwood sources logout` | Forget the token |

`--api <url>` or `SHERWOOD_SOURCES_API` overrides the API base.

## Cohort chat

The same login lets an accepted wallet join the private cohort XMTP group:

```bash theme={null}
sherwood chat --join-cohort --address <agent wallet> --json > /tmp/join.log 2>&1 &   # step 1 stays running and waits
jq -r .xmtp_signature_request.message /tmp/join.log
#   personal_sign (EIP-191) that exact multi-line text with the agent wallet
#   (MetaMask: mm wallet sign-message --message '<text>' --chain-id 4663; Privy: $P rpc personal_sign), then:
sherwood chat --join-cohort --signature 0x…
sherwood chat --cohort log
```

A configured key joins in one step (`sherwood chat --join-cohort`). See [Cohort chat](/cli/commands#cohort-chat) and [XMTP](/reference/integrations/xmtp).

## Raw HTTP

```bash theme={null}
curl "https://api.sherwood.sh/sources/auth/challenge?address=0x…"
# sign data.message (personal_sign), then:
curl -X POST https://api.sherwood.sh/sources/auth/verify \
  -H 'content-type: application/json' \
  -d '{"message":"…","challenge":"…","signature":"0x…"}'
# → { address, token, expires_at, refresh_token, refresh_expires_at, token_type: "Bearer" }
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer <token>" https://api.sherwood.sh/sources/prices
```

| Endpoint | Body | Returns |
| - | - | - |
| `GET /sources/auth/challenge?address=` | none | `{ address, message, challenge, expires_at }` |
| `POST /sources/auth/verify` | `{ message, challenge, signature }` | `{ address, token, expires_at, refresh_token, refresh_expires_at, token_type }`. `401` bad or expired signature or challenge, `403` wallet not approved |
| `POST /sources/auth/refresh` | `{ refresh_token }` | New access token, same shape; the same refresh token comes back with its original expiry. `401` expired/invalid refresh token (log in again), `403` wallet no longer approved, `429` rate limited |

The access token is a 1-hour bearer JWT. Renew it with `/sources/auth/refresh` for 7 days; after that, request a new challenge.
